I decided to make my own stuff without any boundaries, even when I was inspired by darkwave, coldwave and postpunk.
I call it all indiewave - that by being really independent: no label, no rules, just my music, pure as it comes.

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days. Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago.

The excesses of their previous album 'Contradictions' have disappeared in this one. Much more focused and polished, sacrificing elements here and there (is far less droney, for example), the album as a whole is more accesible and comprehensive. The tracks have more individual personality, which makes the record more enjoyable and unique than just "another post punk album". A great collection of really solid post punk tracks.
